What’s the typical ski season duration @ Whistler Canada?

I’m thinking about having my honeymoon there around March 13. Is it still ski season then at Whistler?

"Hi"…..Whistler Blackcomb boasts one of the longest skiing seasons in North America.
The ski lifts usually start running in early November for early season skiing ,mind you this year they opened November 27th. Things really get going by mid-December, and continue full blast until late May.

I was planning a trip to Whistler BC this December.How expensive is Whistler compared to resorts in Colorado?

I’m most interested what a drink would cost at a Whistler bar and an average tab at a decent restaurant. Every review/comment about Whistler say its greater, but expensive. When I search on the internet all the prices seem reasonable for a tourist trap in the peak of ski season. Are rates displayed "teaser" rates. What am I missing?
five years ago whistler would have been a lot cheaper then colorado because you got $1.60 canadian per us dollar, now you only get $1.05 so things are far more expensive, if money is an issue i’d do the colorado thing and wait for the us dollar to regain it’s strength to do whistler, I’ve been to whistler and it is expensive.

What’s it really like doing a working holiday in whistler?

I’m planning to do a working holiday in whistler and have gotten a little worried when I saw the position video’s on the website, the staff don’t exactly look over the moon.
What’s it really like working in whistler on holiday? What are the better jobs to go for? Any other thoughts you guys would like to share?

The party atmosphere is awesome. It’s fun times, if you can get a job. There are so many backpackers from all over the world competing for the same jobs. Most are from UK, Japan and Australia. You are better off being a waiter because tips is big.
Don’t be surprise if you live in a two bedroom apartment with six people. There is a huge housing shortage there.
Money is okay, and you should earn enough to survive and have a night out once in a while.
