Where is the CLOSEST airport near Whistler, BC?

I would like to know where the closest airport is near Whistler, BC just out of curiousity.
If you mean a large, international airport, then Vancouver is the closest one. FromVancouver you can either drive, take a bus or take a train to whistler. Or you can take a helicopter, if you can afford it, because there is a helipad at Whistler.

Vancouver is the nearest international airport. You can then take a bus 3 hours. many go each day or drive 2 and half hours by car

The closest international airport is Vancouver (YVR) International located in Richmond, BC, about a 2.5 hour drive from Whistler (or longer if you hit traffic). You can travel to Whistler by helicopter or there is a municipal airport in Squamish, about 30-45 minutes from Whistler if you have your own small plane or fly into Pemberton, about 30 minutes from Whistler. Otherwise you can get to Whistler by car, bus, or by train.
