Tourism British Columbia Field Reporter Chris Wheeler joins the Olympic skier “Snow Leopard” for some summertime activities in Whistler, BC. Along with the Snow Leopard’s family, they canoe Alta lake, mountain bike the valley trails, and end the day Zip Trekking!
The Snow Leopard will serve as Ghana’s one-man ski team in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada and will be back in Whistler to compete!

hey im just seeing how maany people have ever been to whistler in canada theres amazing skiing out there and i recommend that everyone goes.
I’ve been up there for summer ski camps in younger days (and had a blast), but have yet to make it while the full mountain is in swing. Its on my "to do" list, but my wife prefers beaches to snow-covered mountains so it’s going to be a few years until I can make the trip again.

Alice Lake and other parks Whistler nice but no free lunch Its a tourist area . the olympics are comming prices going up. lots of nice spots in BC cheaper Quesnel,, Barkerville The okanagan , Caribou Go to hellobc for free guides, The sunshine coast and Vancouver island The Gulf Islands

We are moving to Canada from Australia at the end of the year. We are wanting to go to whistler. What month should we plan to arrive to assure that we will be able to get a job and accomdation? Work starts in December.
With the 2010 Olympics coming, I’d advise that you should give up your Australian winter and be here as soon as you can, finding jobs that will continue through the winter season.
Everyone and their puppies will be looking to work at Whistler this year; it might be wiser to look for ski/board employment at another resort for your first season here, depends on how good you are and on how ballsy you are!
