Consistently ranked as North America’s top ski and snowboard resort, Whistler Blackcomb continues to raise the level of mountain excitement for its guests. With the landmark PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola opening December 12, the return of the popular Symphony Amphitheatre, and a host of other on-mountain improvements, this winter promises to be one of the most exciting yet. Located a scenic two-hour drive north of Vancouver, Canada up the spectacular ‘Sea to Sky’ Highway, this resort is home to Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, which boast one vertical mile of incredible skiing. With over 16 alpine bowls, three glaciers, 200 trails, and 8,171 acres of skiable terrain, the choices of where and what to ski/ride at Whistler Blackcomb from beginner to advanced terrain are staggering. Joined at the base by a vibrant pedestrian village filled with award-winning après bars, restaurants, patios, cafes, shops, galleries and spas, and surrounded by breathtaking scenery, this four-season resort is spectacular. Early March 2009,
Los Badicales go snowboarding in the Canadian backcountry with Whistler Heliskiing
( http://www.whistlerheliskiing.com ).
Also joining us were the Yeoman brothers (Andrew, Adam, and Thomas). Rounding out the group was Wade, our guide for the day.
The craziest part of the day was when we landed on a knife-edge ridge; There was almost no room to gather when we got off the heli. This is documented at minute 4:40 in the video.
I think we estimated 17,000 vertical feet were snowboarded that day.
All of the footage was filmed using my VIO POV1 helmet cam.
I made the soundtrack from 4 different songs. In order, I used;
1. Title track from “For a Few Dollars More”, by Ennio Morricone,
2. Arizona Bay by Soulsavers,
3. Main Title from “A Fistful of Dollars” by Ennio Morricone, and lastly
4. Sixty Seconds to What? from “For a Few Dollars More”, by Ennio Morricone.
Enjoy

**We encourage you to watch in HQ, as it makes for a much better viewing experience**
Early March 2009
Los Badicales join forces with Powder Mountain Catskiing (http://powdermountaincatskiing.com ) once more for 3 days of unforgettable powder.
Not far from whistler Blackcomb, BC, Canada in the Coast Mountain backcountry.
Big thanks to all of the PMC crew including Gordon, Don, and Ken; Our guides Nick, Jeff, and Simon; Our drivers Bailey, Pete, and Steve, and Mike the photographer. Also thanks to Miss Powder Mountain, Kate.
All of the footage was shot using my VIO POV helmet cam.
Sorry for the overexposed part around 3:30…I suppose the sun was too bright for the camera to capture a clear image.
The song is “God moving over the face of the waters” by Moby.
We’re already counting down until next season!
